I taught myself everything I know about nail art so far, and am now looking forward to taking nail courses and becoming qualified to officially join the nail art world.

I have always been a huge lover of art in every aspect, from GCSE's where I gained 2 A*'s in Art and Photography, studied A-Levels and recieved 2 A*'s again and finally studying photography at University in 2012 where I graduated with a 2:1.

I remember painting nails since a very young age, there a time when I visited the Lake District on a family holiday at around the age of 11 and it poured with rain so I took to my nail varnish box and my dad's big toe (much bigger canvas to work with!) to paint a beach scene complete with a beach ball, a parasol and a starfish... I must find the photo!

'The Nailphile' was born in December 2012 when I had been experimenting for a while but finally created Galaxy Nails that I was really proud of, and since then it has been a great way to watch my skills grow and many others have joined me throughout the journey.
